- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 24 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in 1 cup of sugar and mix until creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the amaretto liqueur and almond extract until fully combined.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for about an hour.
- Let it cool at room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Before serving, sprinkle toasted sliced almonds on top.
Notes
For best results, refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to meld. Prevent cracking by not overmixing and cooling slowly.
