- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add the softened butter and brown sugar; mix until well combined.
- Stir in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can substitute butter with margarine or coconut oil and add nuts or dried fruits for variations.
