A smoky, cheesy sandwich filled with tender shredded brisket, BBQ sauce, and caramelized onions, perfect for quick dinners or game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb brisket, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1/2 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded brisket with BBQ sauce until well coated.
  3. Slice the hoagie rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Layer the brisket mixture evenly on the bottom half of each roll.
  5. Add a slice of provolone cheese on top of the brisket.
  6. Top with caramelized onions.
  7. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the rolls.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven, close the sandwiches, and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a crisp salad, pickles, or roasted potatoes. Offer extra BBQ sauce for dipping.
