- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter (cold and cubed)
- 1/4 cup Ice Water (adjust based on humidity)
- 1/4 cup Sesame Seeds (can substitute with poppy seeds or a mix)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water until the dough holds together.
- Fold in sesame seeds to evenly distribute.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut the dough into stick shapes.
- Place the sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Can be made ahead of time by refrigerating the dough for up to 3 days.
