Soft, buttery Caramel Crumb Bars with layers of salted caramel and a crumbly topping, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  5. Pour the salted caramel sauce over the base layer.
  6. In another bowl, mix the remaining dough with brown sugar and oats.
  7. Crumble this mixture over the salted caramel.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to five days at room temperature or refrigerate for a week. Bars can be frozen for up to three months.
