- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Pour the salted caramel sauce over the base layer.
- In another bowl, mix the remaining dough with brown sugar and oats.
- Crumble this mixture over the salted caramel.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to five days at room temperature or refrigerate for a week. Bars can be frozen for up to three months.
