- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the cream cheese mixture until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Press a small indentation into the center of each cookie and fill with caramel sauce.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature. Can freeze for up to three months.
