Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for the sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Olive oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into oblong kofta shapes or patties.
  3. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
  4. Grill the koftas for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the garlic yogurt sauce.
  6. Serve the koftas warm with the garlic yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

Ensure the meat mixture is well combined but do not over-mix to keep the koftas tender. Watch them closely while grilling to avoid burning.
