Moist and flavorful banana bread made with ripe bananas, brown sugar, and warm spices. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)

¾ cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).

Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter. Add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
