- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the fresh cranberries and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
- Stir in orange zest and a pinch of cinnamon before removing from heat.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
For a sweeter sauce, adjust the sugar to your liking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
