A delightful treat combining soft chocolate cake and cold vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries for a rich texture contrast.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and milk, then gradually add to the butter mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let the cake cool before cutting it into small pieces.
  8. In serving bowls, layer pieces of cake with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
  9. Top with chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, serve immediately after assembly to maintain the texture contrast. Leftover cake can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
