- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- Chocolate shavings for garnish
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and milk, then gradually add to the butter mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, let the cake cool before cutting it into small pieces.
- In serving bowls, layer pieces of cake with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
- Top with chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, serve immediately after assembly to maintain the texture contrast. Leftover cake can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
