- 4 large onions
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the boiling water.
- Peel the onions and place them into the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes until onions are tender.
- Once cooked, remove onions from the pot and let them cool slightly.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté the boiled onions until golden brown.
- Serve the onions hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For the best results, choose firm and fresh onions. Experiment with different seasonings and herbs for added flavor.
