Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup whole milk (or any halal milk of choice)
2 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla.
Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth (do not overmix).
Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Mix cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle evenly on top of batter.
Bake for 45–50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Don’t overmix batter to keep it soft. Try doubling the cinnamon sugar topping for extra sweetness.
