A delightful dish combining sourdough bread with garlic and cheese, perfect for sharing and easy to make.

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Carefully cut the sourdough bread into a grid pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture all over the bread, ensuring it seeps into the cuts.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella cheese into the cuts of the bread.
  6. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, do not cut all the way through the bread when creating the grid. You can customize the garlic butter with different herbs or add more cheese for a cheesier version.
