Ingredients

- 6 tomatillos
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 jalapeño (optional)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Husk and rinse the tomatillos.
- Boil the tomatillos in water until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Drain and let cool slightly.
- In a blender, combine the tomatillos, cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapeño (if using), lime juice, and salt.
- Blend until smooth.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve with tacos, grilled meats, or as a dip.
Notes
This sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Freezing in small portions is recommended for longer storage.
