- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-3 fresh jalapenos, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt, then create a well in the center. Pour in the yeast mixture, olive oil, and jalapenos; mix until combined.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down, shape into a loaf, and allow to rise again for another hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
