- 1 pound ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread
- Lettuce
- Tomato, diced
- Cucumber, diced
- Tzatziki sauce or Greek yogurt
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the ground chicken, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper, cooking until the chicken is cooked through.
- Warm the pita bread.
- To assemble, fill each pita with the cooked chicken mixture, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, serve with sliced olives, feta cheese, or additional tzatziki on the side.
