Description
A warm, comforting peach cobbler made with juicy peaches and a buttery topping, perfect for summer evenings.
Ingredients
Scale
6 cups fresh or canned sliced peaches (drained if using canned)
1 cup granulated sugar (plus 1 tbsp for topping)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp cornstarch
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix peaches with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Let it sit while you prepare the batter.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
- Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon the batter evenly over the top. It’s okay if some fruit peeks through.
- Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of sugar on top for added crunch.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
