Ingredients
Scale
- 1 standard sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 and 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices or cooked crumbled chicken
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the thawed puff pastry sheet on the baking sheet and gently roll it out to smooth seams.
- Score a border about one inch from the edge without cutting all the way through.
- Brush the surface of the puff pastry lightly with olive oil, avoiding the scored edges.
- Bake the pastry for 8 to 10 minutes until it begins to puff and is lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and gently press down the center area to create space for toppings.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the center of the pastry, staying inside the scored border.
- Sprinkle Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the sauce.
- Distribute mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
- Add pepperoni, vegetables, or chosen toppings in an even layer.
- Return the pastry pizza to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Remove and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
