- 1 cup Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup Additional Butter (room temperature)
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 12 ounces Caramels
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Gradually add this to the wet mixture.
- Soften the cream cheese and additional butter in a separate bowl, then mix in the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add caramel pieces to the cookie dough and mix gently.
- Scoop out spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before adding a sprinkle of salt on top.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. Dough can be frozen before baking.
