Ingredients
Scale
- 12 large sea scallops
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the scallops dry thoroughly using paper towels, then season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for about 2 minutes per side, until a golden crust forms. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt the butter in the same pan. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning and paprika, then pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Return scallops to the pan, spoon sauce over them, and warm through for about 1 minute.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For best results, choose fresh scallops and ensure the skillet is hot before adding them. Adjust Cajun seasoning for spice preference.
