- 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped chives for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, boil the sliced potatoes until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
- Mix until well combined and the cheese is melted.
- Transfer the potato mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped chives before serving.
Notes
Use a mix of cheeses for different flavors and feel free to add cooked mushrooms or onions for extra depth.
