An easy, warm meal with tender chicken bites cooked in a sweet and savory sauce, served over soft rice.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  4. Serve the chicken over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Notes

For added color and texture, serve with steamed or sautéed vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
