- 1 head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 cup rice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon paprika
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef or turkey with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Drain excess fat.
- Add in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, broth, and rice. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the rice is cooked.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs or a dollop of sour cream if desired.
