Delightful small, bite-sized churro treats, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, made easily in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add flour and salt, stirring vigorously until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Use a piping bag to pipe small rounds onto parchment paper.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Toss warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not crowd the air fryer basket and adjust the cinnamon sugar coating to taste.
