Ingredients

Scale

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp salt

2 large eggs

½ cup sugar

½ cup milk (or plant-based alternative)

¼ cup melted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups apples, peeled and diced

1 cup powdered sugar

23 tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat Oven – Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make Batter – In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Mix Wet Ingredients – In another bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla.

Combine – Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined. Fold in diced apples.

Shape Fritters – Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet, flatten slightly with the back of the spoon.

Bake – Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.

Glaze – Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Dip warm fritters in glaze or drizzle over the top.

Serve – Enjoy warm for the best flavor!

Notes

Best served warm and freshly glazed. Use firm apples for best texture. Avoid overmixing batter for light fritters.
